Commemorative Currency Note to Mark 70th Independence Issued Through Licensed Commercial Banks From Today
The new currency note to mark the 70th independence anniversary with a face value of Rs 1,000 issued by the Central Bank will be issued to circulation through Licensed Commercial Banks, commencing from today (6).
The size of the currency note, prominent colours, and security features are similar to the currently circulating 1,000 rupee note in the 11th currency note series.
The note includes a logo exhibiting diversity instead of the sign of the butterfly.
On the bottom of the left side, stands the logo of the 70th Independence Anniversary Day.
