CMC to Deploy Civil Police Officers In order to Arrest Persons Who Wrongly Dispose of Garbage.

Steps have been taken to deploy civil police officers in order to arrest persons who wrongly dispose of garbage, The Colombo Municipal Council said.

Acting Municipal Commissioner Lalith Wickramaratne, said the program was done in agreement with the Police Environment Protection Division.

The officials will be deployed from 4am  to 7 am  in the Colombo Municipal Council limits, Borella, Slave Island and other places identified as areas where garbage was not disposed in the correct manner.
