FCID Denies Arrest of Udayanga in Dubai

State owned English News Media originally reported that former Srilanka Ambassador to Russia Udayagan Weeratunga has been arrested in Dubai, quoting Senior DIG in-charge of the FCID Waidyalankara. Later this news item appeared in other Media.

However, when Senior DIG in-charge of the FCID Waidyalankara was contacted, he dismissed the report of Udayanga being arrested and concluded that he had not made such a statement to the media.
