Prime Minister Arrives President’s Official Residence Short While Ago For  Another Discussion

Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe arrived at the President’s official residence this morning for another discussion.

In the meantime special discussion was held between President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe at President’s official residence last night.

Representatives of the United National Front and UNP ministers, MPs and others participated in this meeting.

Minister Gamini Jayawickrama Perera said, that President  has expressed his position regarding the no-confidence motion.

Deputy Minister Nishantha Muthuhettigamage said, that if Ranil Wickramasinghe retires from the post of Prime Minister, they are ready to withdraw the no-confidence motion.

Meanwhile, some parliamentarians from the Sri Lanka Freedom Party had held talks with the President last evening.
