PM Ranil Wickramasinghe is Victorious

After concluding  parliamentary debate on no confidence motion against Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe, the Speaker called for voting by name.

The no-confidence motion proposed by the Joint opposition against the prime minister was defeated by 46 votes in parliament.

While 122 votes were cast  against the NCM, 76 were for it.

Further, 26 MPs did not participate in the voting.
