Weather Forecast for 05th April 2018

Showery condition is expected to enhance over the island during next few days (particularly after 6^th of April).

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Central and Uva provinces after 2.00 p.m.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces during the morning.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.

On the apparent northward relative motion of the sun, it is going to be directly over the latitudes of Sri Lanka during 05^thto 15^th of April in this year. The nearest areas of Sri Lanka over which the sun is overhead today (05^th), are Galle, Bataduwa, BeliaththaandPuhulwellaabout 12:12 noon.
