432 Minor Offenders Released

Four hundred and thirty two inmates, convicted for minor offences were released day before yesterday in view of the Vesak Poya Day.

Prisons Commissioner Nishan Dhanasinghe said the 432 short-term prisoners were detained in 29 prisons in the country and they had failed to pay their fines.
