Fire at BIA Has No Impact on Flights

Fire reported to have broken out around 4 this morning inside an electronics storage area (Duty Free storage terminal) of the Bandaranaike International Airport , which has been doused at present. However Police stated the doused fire continues to emit dense smoke in the area.

The BIA Authorities said the fire has not affected flight schedules.

While the cause of the fire has not yet been determined, airport Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
