Six Female Undergraduates Hospitalized Due to Tear Gas & Water Canon Attack

 Inter-University Students’ Front (IUSF) staged a protest demonstration against SAITM and marched towards the University Grants Commission in Ward Place. Though court order was made to conduct the protest demonstration without causing inconvenience to the Public, they blocked the road. Further they tried to enter the UGC premises. Hence, Police used tear gas and water cannon to disburse the crowd, police said.

 In the melee six female undergraduates were injured and admitted to the hospital.

A hospital spokesperson said their condition is not serious.
