Granting Of Dual Citizenship for Another 1,000 Lankans

The Department of Immigration and Emigration says dual citizenship has already been granted to around 32,000 individuals within the past three years. Further it will approve dual citizenship for 1,000 Lankan citizens today.

 Immigration & Emigration Controller General MN Ranasinghe said dual citizenship will be granted in a   ceremony scheduled to be held under the patronage of Minister of Internal Affairs, Wayamba Development SB Navinna.

Ranasinghe said the department has invited around 500 applicants to the Immigration & Emigration Department today in order to issue the dual citizenship certificate.
