Water Levels of Tanks Remain Low.

The Director of the Water Management Unit at the Department of Irrigation, Wasantha Bandara Palugaswewa, said the previous water level of 40% was only increased by another 9%.

Water level of the Mahaweli reservoirs has increased up to 80%.

Even though more than 10 tanks have reached the spill level, the overall water level of the tanks remains low, he added.
