Weather Forecast for 06th June 2018

Due to active south-west monsoon, windy condition is expected to strengthen over the island and in the sea areas around the island in next few days (from today).

Prevailing showery and cloudy conditions in south-western part will continue further.

Showers or Thundershowers will occur at times in Sabaragamuwa, Southern and Central provinces.

Several spells of showers will occur in Western and North-Western provinces.

Fairly heavy falls about 75 mm can be expected at some places in Sabaragamuwa province and in Kaluthara, Galle and Mathara districts.

Showers or thundershower may occur at a few places in Ampara, Badulla and Batticaloa districts after 2.00p.m.

Fairly strong gusty winds up to 50 kmph can be expected over Western, Southern, North-western and Northern provinces and Monaragala, Matale, Nuwara-Eliya and Polonnaruwa districts.
