TID Completes  Kandy Unrest Investigation

In  March 2018, unrest erupted in  the Kandy district. Police was directed to investigate and find out the root cause for the unrest. The investigation launched by the Terrorist Investigation Division pertaining to the unrest reported in Kandy in March, has been completed.

Accordingly, the preliminary report pertaining to the incident is scheduled to be handed over to the Attorney General this week.

It was revealed that the Attorney General would decide on future action to be taken regarding the incident after studying the report.
