Ven.Gnanasara Thera Blasted Officials of AG Department and Politicians?

Ven.Gnanasara Thera, who was released on bail after he was sentenced to one year rigorous imprisonment to be ended in six months, called for a press conference yesterday (26) at the BBS headquarters, Nawala road, Rajagriya.

In his press briefing he alleges that political stooges working in the Attorney General department can alter the judgement. I learned a good lesson from the previous and current government. Based on it I shall not believe any politician in future.

This is not the first time they wanted to see me in jumper. As from the year 2010 attempts were made to see me in jumper. In the year 2015 there was an attempt to force me into the jumper. During the 5 days I spent in the prison I didn’t wear jumper. As per prison regulation introduced by white men jumper was introduced to prisoners. However, I respected prison authorities and removed my yellow cloth and dressed in a sarong and a shawl before entering the prison room.

The current government should take the responsibility to send me to prison. Courts are not allowed to function independently. I believe that judgements are delivered in an unjustifiable manner as per observations of the NGOs working according to International agenda and slaves in AG’s department. The security forces, who helped to arrest and imprison me got promotions, which questions the independence of judiciary, he alleged

They wanted to see me in jumper at least for one day. But it didn’t happen, he concluded.
