Police Officer Dies in a Buddhist Monk Attack in Ratnapura

A police officer who had visited a temple in the Gallanda area to investigate a complaint had been allegedly murdered by a Buddhist Monk. Police Spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekera said that the victim died while he was being taken to a hospital.
The police officer was attached to the Minor Complaints Unit of the Ratnapura Police.
The suspect was on an arrest warrant.
