Angelo Mathews to miss first Test

Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli yesterday said that the captaincy will not be an added pressure for him in the tough assignment in Sri Lanka and he will look to play good cricket in the three-Test series starting from August 12th.

The 26-year-old, who will be captaining the side in a full series for the first time, said it is going to be a competitive series as both India and Sri Lanka are currently in the rebuilding stage.

Meanwhile, Sri Lankan Captain Angelo Mathews says that his own participation in the first Test starting in Galle on August 12th is doubtful as he is yet to recover from a wrist sprain.

The hosts will also miss fast bowlers Dushmantha Chameera and Suranga Lakmal due to injuries.
