(FASTNEWS|COLOMBO) – Sri Lanka convincingly beat South Africa in the fifth match of the One Day International (ODI) series by 178 runs in Colombo on Sunday (12).
Batting first Sri Lanka posted 299 for 8 in their allotted 50 overs.
Captain Angelo Matthews was the star for the hosts with a fluent 97 not out. Niroshan Dickwella also contributed with 43.
South Africa never got going in their chase and were bundled out for 121. Captain Quinton de Kock was the lone contributor with 54 while leg-spinner Akila Dhanjaya took six wickets.
