5 members from NFF elected to Parliament

 

5 Members of the National Freedom Front contested under the United People’s Freedom Alliance have been elected to Parliament,

They are its leader Wimal Weerawansa who has been elected from the  Colombo district with 313,801 from the Colombo topping the list of preference votes.

The Deputy leader of the party former Deputy Minister Weerakumara Dissanayake from Anuradhapura district becoming 2nd in the preference vote list with 69,489 preference votes

The National Organizer of the  party former Parliamentarian Jayantha Samaraweera with 101,039 with preference votes from the Kalutara district becoming 3rd  in the preference vote list

The Politbureau member of the party and the Moneragala district leader Udayashantha Gunasekera from the Moneragala district with 57,356 preference becoming 3rd  in the preference vote list

Matara district leader of the party and journalist Niroshan Premaratne obtaining 99,762 preference votes and becoming 2nd  in the preference vote list.
