UNP Working Committee unanimously nominates Sajith as Presidential candidate [VIDEO]
(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – The Working Committee of the United National Party (UNP) has unanimously nominated the Deputy Leader of the UNP, Minister Sajith Premadasa as the Presidential candidate from the United National Front (UNF).
The decision was taken during the Working Committee of the United National Party (UNP) which convened under the patronage of its Leader, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe at the Party Headquarters ‘Sirikotha’ today (26).
During the meeting, Premier Wickremesinghe had proposed the name of Minister Premadasa for Presidential candidacy and the Working Committee had unanimously approved it.
A large number of UNP supporters are currently gathered outside the ‘Sirikotha’ to celebrate the nomination of of Minister Premadasa.
