(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has obtained 2 Court orders for an investigation on the former Secretary to Ministry of Defence Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.
The CID informed the Colombo Magistrate’s Court that it is conducting an investigation over a complaint which was made citing Rajapaksa, whilst being a United States (US) citizen engaged in political activities in 2005.
Accordingly, the Court ordered the Department of Immigration and Emigration, and Election Commission to release the necessary documents for investigations.
