Voters must be granted leave to cast ballot-EC

(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – The Election Commission  (EC) requested all employers to ensure due leave is granted for voters to cast their ballot on the 11th of October for the Elpitiya Pradeshiya Sabha Election.

The Commission stated that complaints had been lodged that several voters were unable to cast their vote as a result of the lack due leave.

The Election Commission accordingly requested all employers to protect an individuals right to vote by granting leave in order to cats their ballot.

Voting for the Elpitiya Pradeshiya Sabha Election will take place on the 11th between 7am and 4pm.
