(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – The Court of Appeal today (04) unanimously decided to dismiss the writ petition filed challenging the validity of Sri Lankan citizenship of the former Secretary to Ministry of Defence and Presidential Candidate of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP), Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.
Therefore, he is eligible to handover the nominations on Monday (07).
The petition was filed by Gamini Viyangoda and Professor Chandraguptha Thenuwara.
