Navy recovers the dead body of a drowned person

(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – Navy carried out a diving operation in search of a person who had drowned and gone missing in Ganduwa sea area off Weligama, yesterday (08) and recovered the dead body of the missing person.

The Navy who caters in search and rescue missions at any time around the Sri Lankan waters, rendered its assistance to recover the dead body of a person drowned in Ganduwa sea area off Weligama.

The Navy dispatched a team of divers to the location, in response to the request made by Weligama Police for the assistance to find the missing person.

Accordingly, Navy Diving Team was able to recover the dead body of the person and it was handed over to Weligama Police for further investigation.
