2days’ EDEX Mid-Year Expo 2015 starts tomorrow

EDEX Mid-Year Expo 2015, premier education exhibition and job fair, conducted by the Royal College Union (RCU)

will opened tomorrow (September 5) at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre at 9.00am.

The two day exhibition which opens for public from 10.00am to 6.30 pm each day will conclude on Sunday (September 6).

EDEX, Chairman, Kamal Abeysinghe said the objective of conducting the exhibition and the job fair is to create the awareness of schoolchildren and the Sri Lankan youth population the importance of receiving tertiary education after their school secondary education which leads to have gainful employment opportunities.

He said two EDEX exhibitions are held by the RCU in Colombo and Kandy every year and the tomorrow’s Exhibition and Job Fair will become a conduit between the seekers of ‘right employment and the ‘right employers and to bring together the Demand and Supply of Employment under one roof.

This Mid- Year Expo- 2015 will also facilitate spot admissions to selected academic, vocational, technical and professional courses and post graduate programmes, offered by both local and foreign educational institutions.
Some of the sponsors of the Mid-Year Expo-2015 are NIBM – NSBM , ANC Education, Esoft Metro Campus,

Northshore College of Business and Technology, Horizon Campus, ICTA, CINEC and Royal Institute of Colombo.
Over 200 stalls occupied by about 100 local and foreign universities and educational institutions from 12 countries, represented directly through their agents in Sri Lanka at the exhibition. They will offer spot admissions, scholarships and discounted course fees to Lankan youth.
