Grade 1 admission commences

(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) –  Admission of students to Grade 1 for government schools for the year 2020 officially commenced today(January 16).

The national ceremony of admitting new students to grade 1 was held at Dharmadeepa Primary School in Nugagolla, Matale under the auspices of Minister Dullas Alahapperuma.

Out of the total 10,175 government schools, 918 schools provide primary education.

Meanwhile, a number of parents whose children were denied of the admittance to the Grade 1 staged protests around the area demanding justice.
