Lucky Sports Club felicitates their sporting stars

(FASTNEWS | COLOMBO) – The unveiling of the new Jersey and the felicitation ceremony for players of Lucky Sports Club, Addalaichenai, were recently held at the Multi-Purpose Co-operative Society (MPCS) Auditorium in Addalaichenai.

The ceremony was held under the patronage of Addalaichenai Lucky Sports Club President and senior Journalist S.M. Aroos.

All Ceylon Makkal Congress (ACMC) Leader and former Industry and Commerce Minister Rishad Bathiudeen was the chief guest at the ceremony.

Accordingly, A.M.M. Rizwan, Athletic Captain of the Lucky Sports Club, won three gold medals in 110m hurdles, relay 4x100m and 4x400m events at the Eastern Provincial Sports Festival in 2019 and was awarded a memento by former Kalmunai Municipality Mayor Siraz Meerasahib.

A.K. Hathik, a player of Lucky SC, winner of Ampara District Inter Divisional Sports Meet held in 2019, was also felicitated and honoured with a memento by Nintavur Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman M.A. Thahir.

The Lucky Sports Club officials, founding members of the club, players and many others participated as well. (DN)
