“Charging equipment for electric vehicles in all fuel stations” – Min. Weerakkody

 

Petroleum and Petroleum products Minister Chandima Weerakkody says equipment and systems required for recharging electric vehicles will be set up in all fuel stations.

The Minister said that there is a huge demand for electric cars.

The Minister said that however vehicle owners had been severely inconvenienced due to the non-availability of equipment required for recharging these vehicles.

To solve this it has been decided to equip all fuel stations with recharging machinery.

The Minister pointed out that the use of bush bicycles in place of motorbikes should be promoted again.
