Seya’s murder: schoolboy taken into custody

A seventeen year old schoolboy living in the vicinity has been taken in for questioning by the CID over the abduction, rape and murder of Seya Sandevmi of Akarangaha, Kotadeniyawa.

The suspect was described as a friend of the victim’s family by the CID, who added that he was an A/L Commerce stream student of a reputed school in Gampaha. The CID said it had received information that the suspect was a drug addict. The CID had also taken into custody two others over the murder. They are being interrogated separately.
