Following a tip off, a stock of nine grenades suspected to have been buried by the LTTE during the war, were discovered by the police in Adampan, Mannar .
These grenades include LTTE-made Raghavan grenades.
Police believed that the grenades must have been buried during the height of the war in Mannar region in the last Eelam War. Adampan was an area where fierce battles were fought in the last years of the war.
