Twelve Sri Lankan Asylum-Seekers Sent Back to Srilanka Now in CID

Twelve Sri Lankan nationals, who tried  to illegally enter Australia by boat, returned to the country early this morning.

They were sent back  via  a special Australian flight.

The Airport Police said that three children were among the group and that they were residents from Tudella, Ja-Ela.

All suspects were handed over to the Criminal Investigations Department for further investigations.
