500 Prison Inmates To Be Released Today

Department of Prisons said that 500  prison inmates from prisons Island wide are to be granted Presidential pardon today in view of the Vesak Poya Day.

The Department’s Media Spokesperson Thushara Upuldeniya said, that 500 prisoners who were convicted for minor offences will be released.
