Attempt to Remove Mahinda and Basil from SLFP

Former President cum advisor to the SLFP, Chandrika Bandaranayke Kumaratunga met central committee members of the SLFP at Ahungala.  After a brief discussion, a group in the SLFP is taking steps to remove Mahinda and Basil from the SLFP. This step is reported to have been proposed to reorganize and strengthen the SLFP. They proposed to advise the current Leader of the SLFP cum President, Maithreepala Sirisena.
