The magisterial inquiry into the death of former Judge Sarath de Abrew was conducted at the Mount Lavinia Magistrate court yesterday(22). Mount Lavinia Police officials, including Crimes OIC IP Mallikaarachchi made submissions, told court that the body parts of the former Supreme Court Judge have been referred to the Government Analyst for a report. Further, the Kalubowila Hospital Judicial Medical Officer Dr. R.D. Dhanushan who carried out the postmortem returned an open verdict into the death of de Abrew.
Mount Lavinia Magistrate Mohammed Sabdeen yesterday fixed further inquiry into the death of former Supreme Court Judge Sarath de Abrew for August 24.
