Fairly strong wind (up to 50-60kmph) is expected over the Southern province and Central hills of the island.
Light showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa Central and North-western provinces and in the Jaffna, Mannar, Galle and Matara districts.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the Uva and Eastern provinces after 2.00 p.m.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
