SLFP Forcibly Taken From Him – Mahinda

While addressing a gathering in  Aanamaduwa, the Former President and Kurunagala District MP Mahinda said, he did not give the leadership of the party to any one at any time. He said President Maithree  called  a separate convention of SLFP members at which a new central committee was elected in an attempt  to destroy the party. Further he said, Maithree  keeps on asking me to leave, saying I have lost twice. But he is the only SLFP President who lost his own electorate at the Parliamentary election. I did not lose twice.  I have  lost only once . In conclusion,  he requested the Government to protect the people who elected the Government.
