Over 100 acres were destroyed by a fire that erupted at Ravana Ella and Beragala forest reserves in Badulla yesterday night(26) . The fire at both reserves has been successfully doused early this morning by the fire-brigades of Badulla Urban Council and Uma Oya.
Transport on the Ella – Wellawaya Road was also impeded yesterday as a result of the fire spreading towards 23rd and 24th mileposts of the Ella reservation.
