Bail to Neville Wanniarachchi

A former Chief Security Officer of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa , Neville Wanniarachchi has been released on bail by the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court today(28) .

He  released  on a 50,000 rupee cash bail and 10 surety bails of 1 million rupees each.

The case will be taken up once again on the 13th of January 2017.

Five cases were filed against Neville Wanniarachchi by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption for failing to declare his assets. He was charged for failing to declare his assets from the year 2010 to 2014 while holding the post of Major of the Army.
