At last Office of Missing Persons From 1st Jan – Mangala

Office of Missing Persons Act would become operational in the country from  1^st January 2017  after it is gazetted by President Maitripala Sirisena,  said  Foreign Affairs Minister,  Mangala Samaraweera.

 He said the Constitutional Council would then nominate seven members. and the Consultation Task Force would submit its report to the President with recommendations for a truth-seeking mechanism.
