Johnston Summoned to FCID

 Investigations are ongoing into malpractices reported at Sathosa in 2014.

MP Johnston Fernando  was the Minister of Internal Trade and Cooperatives during the tenure of the United People’s Freedom Alliance led government.

He   was summoned to record a statement on the allegation of misappropriation of funds during the previous government over the purchase of 60,000 metric tonnes of paddy without Cabinet approval.

He appeared before the FCID today (23).
