Railway employees federation has given noticed of one day token strike for 24 hours on 1 st December 2016 demanding the following

Selling railway land to private sector should be stopped forthwith.

Appointment of causal and contract employees outside the normal recruitment procedure by higher up should be stopped forthwith.

Appointment of a development board in the railway comprising of officers above the level of General Manager should be given up.

Proposal to abolish pension rights of public servant should also be given up.
