Appeal Court Issued Notice on Gnanasara Thera & 12 Others

General Secretary of the Bodu Bala Sena organisation Galagodathe Gnanasara thera and 12 others  were charged for attacking a religious centre in Thalahena, Battaramulla and stealing gold.This  case was initially heard before the Colombo High Court and  the defendants were acquitted and released.

However the Attorney General filed a petition before the Appeals Court challenging the verdict of the Colombo High Court.

The Appeals Court today issued notice on  the General Secretary of the Bodu Bala Sena organisation Galagodathe Gnanasara thera and 12 others to appear before Court on the 12th of January 2017.
