Kumar Gunaratnam Released From Prison and Granted 3 Months Visa

Frontline Socialist Party (FSP)  carried out  a campaign to get the release of  its leader  Kumar  Gunaratnam and obtained  Srilankan Citizenship.

 His prison term ends on 9^th  November 2016.   But   his sentence was commuted and he is  released from the Anuradhapura Prison today ( 2), the Prisons sources said.

The FSP yesterday said , that they have had discussion with the controller of the Immigration and Emigration  to obtain citizenship.  But 3 months visa  was granted to him  pending finalization of his application for citizenship.
