Wimal Remanded (UPDATE)

Wimal Weerawansa arrested on charges of misusing state funds has been remanded till the 24th of January 2017.

The order was issued by Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne.

Wimal Arrested

Wimal Weerawansa called over at the FCID  for an  inquiry  in connection with the irregularities at  State Engineering Cooperation  during his tenure as Minister of Housing and Common Amenities.

Followed by  recording a statement,  he was arrested by the FCID today.  He will be produced before the  Magistrate today.
