ACMOA Complaints HRCSL Against Attempts to Register SAITM Students

The ACMOA in a statement alleged that  there is a  move to legalize the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM), which had been  in illegal operation  for the past eight years.
The All Ceylon Medical Officers Association (ACMOA) says it will lodge a complaint with the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL), against the Sri Lanka Medical Council’s  (SLMC) attempt to register SAITM students.
As the  students at  the  SAITM  lacks clinical practice, they are not ready to be registered as practicing doctors, despite  the SLMC is allegedly prepared to register them as medical practitioners, said Dr. Jayantha Bandara, the secretary of the ACMOA.
