As there is dearth of teachers in Science, Math and English subjects in Tamil medium in estate schools in the upcountry, a special cabinet approval was obtained by the State Minister of Education V. Radhakrishnan.
He said this while attending a function held in Hatton- Bogawanthalawa on Saturday.
General Secretary of the Lanka teachers association, Joseph Stalin said, that reinstating retired teachers is not the solution for the problem. He said,
The Lanka Teachers Association is registered its protest against the decision taken to reinstate retired teachers.
