Counterfeit Money Culprits Captured

Three individuals have been arrested in Nattandiya, Marawila, over the possession of counterfeit money.

The arrest was made as a result of a raid conducted by Marawila Police.

 Following an intelligence tip-off, Marawila Police conducted a surveillance search operation and initially arrested  one suspect  with a  few counterfeit notes of Rs 5,000 denomonation. On interrogating the suspect  he spilled  the  beans and  the Police was able to  arrest two more suspects in possession of  Rs. 5000 counterfeit notes. They were arrested in  Natandia and Marawila.The suspects are residents of Noduwawa, Nattandiya and scheduled to be produced before the Marawila Magistrate’s Court today (03).
