Rs 25,000 Fine Against Traffic Violators

National Transport Board  coming under the purview of Ministry of  Transport has announced that  Rs 25,000 fine will be imposed  for  the  following traffic offences :

1. Driving under the influence of liquor.

2. Driving without insurance

3. Driving without driving license

4. Driving before reaching required age (under age driving)

In addition a fine of Rs 3000 will be  imposed  for over taking on the left side.  Chairman of the National Transport Board, Sisira Kotagoda said, that steps  have been taken to implement the above scheme.
