3000 North Central Tanks Dried Up Causing Much Inconvenience to Public.

Routine daily activities of residences in the North Central Province  have been badly affected  as a result  of 3000 out of 3300 medium and small tanks have dried up, announced by the director of the North Central Province Irrigation Department H. H. Jayantha  Herath.

Obtaining drinking water has become a Himalayan taskf or public of the North Central Province. However, although water is distributed to  some  areas through bowsers, it  was not sufficient to meet their basic needs, people reported.
