Dream of Becoming “Miss Srilanka” Misfired and Ended up in Remand Prison

Chathurika Ratnayake came to Colombo to participate in an interview for “Miss Srilanka” contest in a 5 Star hotel.

She has failed in the interview, but stolen Rs. 38,500 worth of a mobile telephone belongs to another the contestant who was selected in the interview.

Police arrested her and produced before the Colombo Fort Magistrate, who has ordered to remand her till 4t August. Further, he has ordered the hotel management to provide the CCTV video recordings to the Slave Island police.
