State Minister Dilan Perera while addressing an event held in Badulla said, that Minister Duminda Dissanayake should be removed from the post of General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party(SLFP) with immediate effect.
He further said, that the main reason behind his stance is the statement made by the General Secretary with regard to conducting a disciplinary inquiry against the former President.
Dilan Perera further reiterated that appointing a senior member of the SLFP to the post of General Secretary would result in establishing party unity.
